We need to start debating a complete change in the country's political system to one that truly adheres to the rule of law and the separation of the powers of the state. Cabinet should not only be chosen from the elected MPs, but Ministers may be appointed directly by PM following a two-thirds approval of the candidate by Parliament. The Cabinet should be composed of experts in their respective fields, not simply by politicians who are elected simply because of their popularity.
Ministers, though not elected, would still be answerable to Parliament and may be removed by a vote of no confidence just the same.
Agree. But not on the 2/3 majority. That doesn't work in practice.
