It is a worrying fact is that local produce contain a high level of pesticides, making it one of the main health concerns in Malta. It is therefore important to create (financial) incentives for local farmers to reduce or even remove completely the use of pesticides, as well as to create other incentives for the public to consume more 'organic' food, for instance low tax on such food. This helps to improve the long-term health of the population
to avoid so many illness that runs in our blood but people have to be informed properly and educated couse the farmer need his wages too.
